Tickets & fees, honestly
Vegas show pricing is confusing on purpose in some cases, and just inconsistent in others. Here's how the pieces fit together.
Listed price vs. all-in price
A "from $45" headline rarely includes fees, and almost never includes the seat you'd actually choose. Rouge's official box office lists tickets starting around $84 with fees folded in and a 30% discount for STRAT hotel guests — a cleaner number than most "from" prices on search results.
Box office vs. OTA vs. resale
- Box office / official site: the venue sells directly. Usually the most reliable price and the easiest refund or exchange path.
- OTA or ticket partner: sells on the venue's behalf, sometimes at a different price, sometimes bundled with a hotel.
- Resale marketplace: secondary market, often at a markup. Absinthe is a clear example — resale listings we checked ran well above what box office pricing implies. Treat a resale "deal" with real skepticism.
STRAT Tower + Rouge tickets
Complimentary STRAT Tower admission (about a $36.95 value) is included with qualifying Rouge tickets purchased at The STRAT Box Office, through tickets.thestrat.com, or by phone at 702-380-7777. Partner and OTA tickets usually do not include Tower admission. If the Tower view matters to your night, buy through those channels and confirm the perk is on your order.
Discount booths
Tix4Vegas (formerly Tix4Tonight) sells same-day and next-day tickets at 25–50% off face value, plus a small per-ticket service fee, from booths around the Strip and downtown. Legitimate way to save on a same-day decision. Tradeoff: you won't know what's available until the morning of, and in-demand shows sell out before they reach the booth.
Hotel guest discounts
Several venues discount their own resident shows for hotel guests. The STRAT's 30% off Rouge for STRAT guests is one clear example. If you're staying at the same property as a show you want to see, always check for a guest rate before buying elsewhere.
When to buy
More than half of tickets for some shows sell day-of, which keeps day-of pricing more available than you'd expect. Popular dates and good seats still sell out in advance. Fixed date (birthday, bachelorette)? Book ahead. Flexible? Day-of and Tix4Vegas can both save real money.
The short version
Check the venue's own site first. Compare it to one OTA. Skip anything that looks like a discount from a site you don't recognize. Confirm the actual price before you show up. Every price on this site is marked "confirm live" for exactly this reason.
